Heart of Midlothian FC Football Videos
Heart of Midlothian Football Club, commonly known as Hearts, are a professional football club based in Gorgie. It is one of two Premiership clubs in the city, with Fierce rivals Hibernian also competing in the top flight.
Having historically been the bigger club in Edinburgh, Hearts future was plunged into uncertainty recently when Majority shareholder Vladimir Romanov announced he was no longer able or willing to support Hearts financially following years of mismanagement and overspending. This resulted in Hearts being plunged into administration during the 2013-14 season, resulting in a 15 point deduction and ultimately relegation to the Scottish Championship.
Hearts were finally able to exit administration when a deal was struck with shareholders Ukio Bankas for their shareholding to be transferred to local businesswoman Anne Budge, with the ultimate aim of transferring all control of Hearts to the supporters group 'Foundation of Hearts. If completed, this would make Hearts the first Scottish football club under full fan ownership.
