Frank Ribery Football Videos
Franck Ribery (born 7 April 1983 in Boulogne-sur-Mer) has been one
of the best wingers in football for years. He is extremely fast, an outstanding
dribbler with the preference to play on the left side and he has a special ability
to amuse the crowd at the stadium as he is the type of a player who will bring
the money into the club with his image.
Franck began his football career back in 1989 playing for his
local team Conti Boulogne, from where he joined Lille in the episode he had
already forgotten since he did not get the decent opportunity to show his
skills and improve as a player.
Then he returned to his home town to play in US Boulogne for two
years before reaching his first serious career breakthrough in Metz. He needed
no more than six months to make a transfer to Turkish giant Galatasaray, but
though playing well at the start of his Turkish campaign, he had to leave the
team afte half a year because of a fight with the manager.
Ribery then returned to his homeland to play for Marseille for the
next two years and he helped the team reach the two consecutive Coupe de France
finals before signing Bayern Munich contract to set a record transfer fee back
then of EUR 25 million.
The rest is history…The Frenchman played a significant role in
winning four Bundesliga and four DFP Pokal trophies, as well as one UEFA
Champions League title. He was the main favorite to win the 2013 FIFA Ballon d’Or
award, but couldn’t beat Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi who are still a
Ribery played for the national team since 2006 attending two FIFA
World Cups and two European Championships and he has won three French Player of
the Year awards so far.
There is a general opinion that this lad could have done more in
his career, but he will find his place both in the French football history as
one of the best players of his generation and in Bayern Munich history.
