England Premier League match of the week will be played on Sunday at the Etihad as defending champions Manchester City host Arsenal.
Manuel Pellegrini's squad is finally complete as few of their key players recovered from injuries unlike their opponents. Manchester City is currently in great series of results, being only two points behind EPL leaders Chelsea. The last match between these two opponents at the Etihad ended in a 9-goal galore and 6 - 3 victory for the Citizens. After that two matches in London ended without winner ( 1 - 1 , 2 - 2 ) but Arsenal have meanwhile won the Community Shield trophy at Wembley after 3 - 0 victory against Manchester City.
Arsene Wenger is currently dealing with a lengthy injury list so he won't be able to count on Welbeck, Arteta, Wilshere, Debuchy and Diaby for this match. Mesut Ozil recovered from injury but his appearance in starting roster is questionable, same as for Aaron Ramsey and Theo Walcott. The Gunners are currently 5th on EPL table with 36 points. Their record on the road is not good as expected this season; they have won 4 matches, drew 3 and lost 4 with a goal difference 16 - 15. Phenomenal Chilean striker Alexis Sanchez is playing a season of his career, being the most important part of Arsenal's machine in their UEFA Champions League hunt.
Return of Sergio Aguero after his knee injury is definitely great news for all Manchester City fans. Argentinean striker has scored 14 goals this season and currently leads the board for best goal scorer. Nasri is questionable for this match while newcomer Bony and Yaya Toure are on international duty, playing for Ivory Coast at African Cup of Nations.
The last seven EPL matches between City and Arsenal at the Etihad have seen 28 goals scored.
