My soulmate slipped away last night. Rebecca, my wonderful wife, passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London. She was a fantastic, loving mother to our three beautiful children. She will be missed as a wife, sister, aunt, daughter and granddaughter. She will live on in our memory, as a guide and inspiration.
He continued thanking friends, colleagues and Royal Marsden hospital staff, for their efforts and support, expressing the grief as total, asking for being allowed to mourn privately.Describing Rio Ferdinand’s struggle, QPR manager Chris Ramsey stated :
Everyone will tell you that, as a man, Rio has been absolutely fantastic. He has come in and trained, kept it to himself, not been moping and talked to the young players. He has been a man mountain. We only have good things to say about him and the way he has conducted himself. Our thoughts are with him and his family and hope they can pull together and find strength from somewhere at this tragic time.
Sadly Ellison’s life battle has been lost, friends and family standing by the mourning family, QPR club statement added: “The thoughts of everyone at Queens Park Rangers are with Rio and his family at this immensely difficult time.”
